What we do
When a page will not load, it is hard to tell whether the site is broken or something on your side is. You paste the address, and we load it from our own server and from twelve probes in different countries at the same moment. If every probe reaches it, the site is up and the problem is probably your network, DNS, browser or device. If most fail, it is down for everyone.
More than a status check
Every check also shows the SSL certificate, DNS records, redirects and the domain’s registration expiry. The speed test times where a page’s load goes. With a free account you can keep a watchlist, see uptime history and get an email when a site goes down or comes back, and each monitored site has a public status page.
How we try to be fair
We would rather say “not sure” than be wrong. A slow response is a Timeout and a blocked request is Inconclusive; we only say Confirmed down after repeated server errors. Every result is a snapshot of one moment, and we say so.

siteupdown.com is not affiliated with the websites, games or services it checks. Regional probes run on the public Globalping network. The site is supported by advertising, so it stays free to use.
