Reports are anonymous and unverified, and each visitor can report once every 30 minutes. They show how many people say they are affected, not why.
If Shopify is not loading for you
- If the shop loads but checkout fails, the payment service may be having its own problem, so try again later before paying twice.
- Do not refresh repeatedly on a payment page. Check your bank app or email for a confirmation first.
- Clear cookies for the site, or try a private window, if your basket or sign-in is acting strangely.
- Sales days bring heavy traffic, and busy shops can slow down or show errors briefly.
- Use the company’s official app or help page to confirm the problem before contacting your bank.

Questions about Shopify
Is Shopify down right now?
Look at the live status box at the top of this page. It shows the result of our latest automatic check of shopify.com, repeated every few minutes. If it says the site is up but things still fail for you, the problem is probably on your side or limited to one feature or region.
Why is Shopify not working for me when it works for others?
A site can fail for some people and not others because of DNS caching, regional servers, your internet provider, a firewall or VPN, or a problem with your device or app. Our guide on why a website can be down for some people and not others explains how to tell which one it is.
How do I report a problem with Shopify?
Use the report buttons on this page and choose what is going wrong. Reports are anonymous and unverified, and each visitor can report once every 30 minutes. They are shown as a chart so you can see whether other people are having the same problem.
How does siteupdown.com check Shopify?
Our server loads shopify.com every few minutes, the way a browser would, and records the response code and how long it took. A site is only called down after two server errors in a row. Our page on how the checks work has the details.
