Is Fortnite down?
These are the servers the Fortnite app talks to. If they answer, the servers are reachable, but that does not prove everything inside the app is working, such as messages, feeds or logins. For in-app problems, see what other visitors are reporting below.
Fortnite is a popular online battle royale game from Epic Games. This page checks its website, not the game servers.

If Fortnite is not loading for you
- Check whether the problem is the store or website, or the game servers. They can fail separately.
- Restart the game launcher and the game, and check for a pending update.
- Check the publisher’s official status page or social account for maintenance announcements, which are common on update days.
- Wired connections and restarting your router fix many matchmaking and login problems.
- Try a different network or turn off your VPN, because some game services block VPN traffic.

Is Fortnite down right now?
Look at the live status box at the top of this page. It shows the result of our latest automatic check of fortnite.com, repeated every few minutes. If it says the site is up but things still fail for you, the problem is probably on your side or limited to one feature or region.
Why is Fortnite not working for me when it works for others?
A site can fail for some people and not others because of DNS caching, regional servers, your internet provider, a firewall or VPN, or a problem with your device or app. Our guide on why a website can be down for some people and not others explains how to tell which one it is.

How does siteupdown.com check Fortnite?
Our server loads fortnite.com every few minutes, the way a browser would, and records the response code and how long it took. A site is only called down after two server errors in a row. Our page on how the checks work has the details.
